After a very busy season in our guesthouse, we currently enjoy our free time and celebrate our holidays in Portugal.
However, although we are temporarily closed for guests, we are still very busy. We have made a huge ‘to do’ list. Fortunately, we have received some help from Dutch friends, so we were able to finish some things quickly. Now we take it easy, enjoy the sun, sleep late at the morning and make many day trips in the Algarve.
We celebrate our holidays in Portugal by visiting well-known places and brand new spots. Many times we are surprised by the changes that took place in the Algarve the last ten years. We see so many improvements: for instance old ruins that are nicely renovated and well paved roads. The economy is doing so much better in Portugal and the Algarve.
During one of these day trips from our B&B Algarve, we hiked a trail in the Monchique that led us to the top of the Picota (about 775m). We had to climb the rocks to get to this highest peak and the observation tower. There we enjoyed the beautiful view of the surroundings and we even could see the sea. Keira had no trouble at all with the climb and was already waiting for minutes at the top!
The beautiful sunny weather of the past months makes our holidays in Portugal even better! Currently fresh with 15 degrees but very pleasant in the sun.
Our to do list, we keep aside because the next couple of weeks, we want to make more day trips. We hope we can advice our guests even better this way with up-to-date information and tips during their holidays in Portugal.
