The hinterland lends itself to many sporting activities such as hiking, geocaching, cycling and mountain biking. The altitude varies from 200m to over 500m. Beautiful scenery is abundantly available.
There is so much to enjoy; the senses, the variety of animals, birds (spot a hop! ), the cork oaks, eucalyptus trees and, especially in spring a profusion of flowers.
A car ride through the picturesque countryside visiting the various villages is a must. But do watch out for the horses and carts that you will surely encounter.
